Ruby Throated Hummbingbird
Archilochus colubris are eastern North America’s sole breeding hummingbird and generally spend the winter in Central America, Mexico, and Florida. A small hummingbird with a slender, slightly downcurved bill and fairly short wings, Ruby throated hummers are bright emerald-to-golden-green, with gray-white chest and underparts. Males have a brilliant iridescent red throat, visible from certain angles. They fly with exquisite speed, agility and control.
