Welcome. Thank you for stopping in.
I've always been interested in art, design, and most of all: making things. From embellishing school reports and making fanciful shoes out of cardboard as a child, to burning the midnight oil to make ceramics after work as a young adult, sewing the clothes I wished I could find, but couldn't—despite living in the retail shopping mecca of New York City and not knowing how to sew, knitting, crochet, printmaking, collage, jewelry, etc., making has always been both a seductive problem-solving challenge and a creative journey I could not resist. There is satisfaction in making something from nothing, from demystifying or discovering the materials, techniques, and processes required. The learning curve is highest the first time around, then there are learnings and refinements; and then, a new challenge around the corner. All the while, I enjoy looking closely at the intersection where form and function meet, at what choices and lessons lie therein. It's taken all my life to dare to fully embrace the inclination, to make the leap, and come online to share my findings, so here goes nothing!
The gallery is a selection of my original watercolor paintings—wildlife and botanical subjects, which are available as fine art prints. Prints are made with highest-quality, archival inks and 100% cotton paper.
If you’d like to see more, I update to Instagram with more ceramics and other media. If the one you wanted is “Sold Out” I’m happy to get a print for you. Indeed, if there’s something you would like, but don’t see, feel free to ask! I love making on demand. That’s a commission, and a special opportunity to do custom work just for you.
